Disbursement of Funding

After the Sportsmanlike Conduct board reviews each application to ensure authenticity and legitimacy, and choses which causes can be supported based on funding it receives from its donors, funding is facilitated to the receiving party on behalf of the hockey palyer. In other words, the party responsible for delivering the product or service. For example:

Example 1:
If $250 is raised to outfit a young hockey player in new hockey equipment, a $250 cheque is paid from Sportsmanlike Conduct to United Cycle. Then, the hockey player receives $250 worth of equipment-only when he/she arrives for a fitting at United Cycle in Edmonton Alberta. Note: United Cycle is only a supporting corporate contributor to Sportsmanlike Conduct and is not an official partner or board member of the charity. At no time does Sportsmanlike Conduct ever pass monetary donations directly to a child or his/her parent(s).

Example 2:
If $1,000 is raised to pay a young hockey players tuition to a local hockey program, a $1,000 cheque is paid from Sportsmanlike Conduct to the School or Hockey Program. At no time does Sportsmanlike Conduct ever pass monetary donations directly to a child or his/her parent(s).

Example 3:
If $1,500 is raised to pay for a young hockey players team fees, travel and registration expenses for the year, a $1,500 cheque is paid from Sportsmanlike Conduct to the Team Administration/Management.
